Holistic Pelvic Care: A Path to Fertility and Wellness
Jun 12, 2023Good uterine artery blood flow, i.e. healthy blood flow to the uterus, is essential for fertility. However, a lack of blood flow to the uterus is linked with endometrial thinning, low pregnancy rates, and unexplained fertility, according to a study published in the Egyptian Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Integrative Medicine.
Maintaining healthy blood flow to the uterus is crucial for a woman's reproductive health. Exercise, acupuncture, and certain foods can promote good uterine circulation. Regular exercise, such as yoga, can help with blood flow to the uterus. Acupuncture is also known to improve blood flow to the uterus. Additionally, foods that are rich in iron, such as spinach and red meat, can support healthy blood flow. It's also important to stay hydrated and avoid smoking to promote good circulation. In addition to these methods, there are other natural remedies that can help promote good uterine circulation, such as fertility, womb, and lower back massage. These massage techniques can help to release tension and increase circulation in the pelvic area, promoting reproductive health and overall wellness.
Holistic Pelvic Care (HPC) is a particular type of massage that has been found to be especially effective in addressing issues related to the female reproductive system. This modality can help to relieve tension in other parts of the body, providing relief from issues such as low back, hip, and pelvic discomfort, menstrual imbalances, low libido, incontinence, fertility issues, and more. During a Holistic Pelvic Care (HPC) session, you will receive hands-on bodywork plus a guided somatic meditation and restorative breath-work intended to harmonize the energies within the pelvic bowl, including the ovaries and to clear this sacred space of unwanted energies whilst also reconnecting access to the innate wisdom of the heart and womb. The intention is to support you with reconnection to your pelvic power and embodiment by enhancing the flow of pelvic organ energy (circulation) and restoring the pelvic bowl as the creative center of the female body.
Holistic Pelvic Care was created by Dr. Tami Lynn Kent, a women's health physical therapist and author. In March 2023, I studied with Dr. Tami and became a Certified Holistic Pelvic Care Practitioner. Since then, I have incorporated HPC into my somatic bodywork offerings, providing a unique and holistic approach to women's health and wellness.
